OUR esteemed leader Cllr John Williams makes a strong case for the merger, which is to be expected, however with equally strong views opposing the merger, it would seem the ideal opportunity to allow the residents of TDBC to have their say.
Hold a referendum and let the people vote on the future of TDBC, after all we voted in our elected representatives, which from recent comments appear to be ignoring public opinion.

Of course officers of the TDBC support the merger, after all they will see wages packets increase as they take on more responsibility.
What price democracy now! Let the voters decide such an important change to our council.
