QUEEN guitarist Brian May opened a Taunton live music venue at the weekend.
The 65-year-old was in Somerset on Saturday promoting his campaign to stop the planned cull of badgers but spent the evening at The Live Room, in High Street, to mark its grand opening.
He spoke to clubbers briefly about his online petition, which has nearly 200,000 signatures against the culling of badgers before cutting the ribbon on stage to officially open the venue.
Owners Karl Drew and Tarryn Marais started work on the venue last month. It is their second venue in Taunton after taking over the Drawing Room last year.
Some of Queen's most popular tracks included We Will Rock You, I Want It All and Who Wants to Live Forever.
