EXCITING news for Minehead's seafront scene as one of the town's most iconic venues, The Queens Hall, re-opened this week.
It will be running as a bar, restaurant and family-friendly entertainment venue with a big live screen for a cinema club and live sport.
Claire Stuman, who took over the business with her business partner Alun Phillips two years ago, said she was delighted to have the venue finally up and running.
"It is a beautiful old building and it is really exciting to have it open and be able to share it with everyone," Mrs Stuman said.
"It is a two year dream in the making. We took over the building in 2014 and have been grafting away since Christmas getting it ready to open for the summer season."
"We hope to run a Saturday Cinema Club and will have a lot of live sport on the big screen, just in time for the Euros."
Everything on the menu from burgers to seafood dishes will be freshly prepared on site, and Mrs Stuman says the menu will have something for everybody.
The Queens Hall, which was built as a theatre in the 1910's, closed as a pub in 2013 and had been boarded up over the last two years, which had been described as an 'eyesore'.
The new owners were successfully granted a licence to sell alcohol and exhibit film from West Somerset District Council last month and have been busy recruiting and putting the final touches in place, ready to welcome residents and visitors alike.
