A CAR on fire on the M5 caused long delays and saw two fire engines called out.
Two crews from Taunton were sent to the vehicle on fire on the hard shoulder of the M5 between junction 24 and junction 25 shrtly after 3.30pm today (July 31).
Crews arrived on scene and got to work extinguishing the fire using two breathing apparatus sets and a hose reel jet.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue service said the cause of the fire was accidental.
Police and Highways also attended the fire. Traffic has now returned to normal.
