AROUND 15 homes are without power after a crash resulted in an electricity pole snapping.
The incident happened at around 7am this morning (November 16) when it is believed a vehicle left the road and crashed with the pole.
Emergency services were at the scene on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington.
It is expected that the homes will be without power for some time.
The driver of the car was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital with minor injuries.
A WPD spokesman said: "WPD were called to the scene by Avon and Somerset Police after a road traffic accident resulted in a snapped pole with conductors down.
"15 customers are affected and we anticipate repairs will be complete early afternoon today."
