PUB chef Mark Roberts could soon be cooking up a dish for some of the country's movers and shakers.
Mark, who works in the kitchen at the Hankridge Arms, in Taunton, has been nominated for the 2017/18 Parliamentary Pub Chef of the Year award.
The competition, sponsored by Nestlé Professional and run by the British Beer & Pub Association (BBPA) and All Party Parliamentary Beer Group, takes place in February at the House of Commons.
Mark was nominated by Taunton Deane MP Rebecca Pow and will be judged by an expert panel, with shortlisted contenders entering a cook off in front of a team of judges, including TV chef Paul Merrett.
Mark said: "I'm delighted to be nominated. We strive to make The Hankridge Arms a place where you can enjoy many of the old family recipes with a modern twist."
Ms Pow said: "The Hankridge Arms is a urban pub with a rural feel. Mark has built up a very strong reputation locally and that is why I have nominated him for this award."
