TAUNTON'S Royal Bank of Scotland is set to close its doors at the end of the summer.
RBS has informed its customers that it will be shutting the Fore Street branch on August 8.
It was announced that the branch would be axed alongside 161 others across England and Wales.
The banking giant, which recently announced increased profits, has said 792 jobs will go across the country.
RBS is partly owned by the taxpayer after it was bailed out during the financial crisis of 2008.
In a letter RBS told its customers that they can use NatWest branches for their transactions or to use the online services.
