A TRACTOR has been damaged after a countryside fire.
Emergency services were called to Cutcombe, near Wheddon Cross, at 2.20pm yesterday (Saturday, July 27).
A spokesperson said: "Two fire engines from Williton and Dulverton as well as the water carrier from Barnstaple were mobilised.
"Fortunately the farmer had removed the tractor from a wooden shed storing woodchip as soon as he realised the vehicle was affected by fire.
"Fire crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet and a thermal image camera.
"There was fifty percent fire damage to the tractor. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental."
