Firefighters called to tackle campervan fire in Taunton
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Taunton street following reports of a camper van fire.
One fire engine from Taunton was sent to Chritchard Way at 6.43pm on Monday (October 14) after the fire service received a call from a member of public reporting a camper van on fire.
On arrival, the Incident Commander confirmed a fire in the dashboard area of a camper van.
Crews quickly got to work to extinguish the fire using one hose reel jet.
Police were requested for traffic management until the vehicle could be moved from the highway.
