A CAR and a highway were damaged after an accidental fire in Taunton.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called at 4.15pm today (July 17) to reports of a car fire on the A358 Toneway, Taunton.
Two fire engines from Taunton went to the scene.
When crews arrived they confirmed the vehicle was well alight and put the fire out using compressed air foam, one hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus.
Police also attended to assist with traffic management.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, said: "The vehicle and highway sustained damage, and the cause of the fire was deemed accidental ignition. Duty of care was left with the Police."
