FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze on a busy Somerset road.
The incident happened on the A303 between Sparkford and Wincanton at around 6.20pm on Sunday evening (July 19).
Two crews, from Wincanton and Castle Cary, were called to the scene after reports of a vehicle on fire.
"On arrival, the Incident Commander confirmed that a car was well alight and got crews to work to extinguish the fire using compressed air foam and a hose reel jet," said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperon.
"Police were in attendance and highways were informed."
