MOTORISTS on the M5 were startled by the sight of a lorry bursting into flames yesterday morning (Monday).
Avon and Somerset Police Special Constables have published this picture of the blazing HGV on social media.
It said: "Supporting @ASPRoadSafety with #OpTramline targeting dangerous driving on the M4 and M5.
"Several vehicles stopped for using mobile phones, no seat belts and various motoring offences.
"Also assisting other emergency services with a vehicle fire."
The incident at around 9.30am on the M5 southbound approaching Weston-super-Mare led to the closure of two lanes.
