A VAN was badly damaged after it caught fire on a busy Somerset road.
The vehicle was reported to the fire service by members of the public at around 1.30pm.
A fire crew attended the blaze, on the Frome Bypass.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "On arrival, crews confirmed the van was well alight and got to work to extinguish the fire using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.
"The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental."
