Crews were called out to reports of a van on fire in Norton Fitzawarren.
Fire crews from Taunton attended the incident on Thursday, January 6 at around 10.16pm.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the van “suffered 50 per cent smoke and fire damages”.
The spokesperson also said: “Crews from Taunton attended a transit type van on fire in Norton Fitzwarren. The fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, and one hose reel jet.
"The engine and cab of the vehicle suffered approximately 50 per cent smoke and fire damage. The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.”
