FOODIES will be excited to hear what's planned to come to the vacant former Maplins and Blockbuster store in Taunton.
There are plans for Kaspa's Desserts and Döner & Gyros to open in the vacant 12 County Walk.
Under proposals, the large store could be divided into two units with 'sub division' works being carried out.
The nearest Kaspa's Desserts are in Yeovil and Weston-super-Mare.
Naveed Asim, who is looking to run the Taunton outlet, operates the Yeovil shop.
Kaspa's Desserts' stated mission is to "to create an environment where enjoying authentic desserts with family, friends and loved ones is an unforgettable experience".
Customers can expect to see on the menu sundaes, waffles and crepes, cakes and puddings, hot drinks, bubble slush, milkshakes and smoothies and frappes.
The Döner & Gyros offers halal food it describes as "fresh and high quality" to either eat in or take away.
Plans for the County Walk premises include replacing the shop front and installing kitchen equipment and signs.
The County Gazette has approached Kaspa's for a comment from Mr Asim.
