A CRAFT gift shop that opened in Taunton a year ago is moving to bigger premises in the town centre.
The Handmade Boutique will relocate in early to 5 High Street, the former Austin Reed store next to Mr Miles and on the corner of the Orchard Shopping Centre.
It will expand to support and stock products from 70 other craft businesses.
The Station Road premises will be converted into a craft centre with workshops for adults and children.
Owner Rebecca Fenner said: "We're excited after just completing our first year of being in business.
"We've learned a lot as we've gone along, and relocating to High Street is what we need to do to move forward.
"We're looking forward to welcoming customers old and new to our new premises in May.
"We'll still call ourselves a gift shop, but we'll also be stocking general day to day items such as clothing, jewellery and woodwork."
Rebecca added that although the new premises is in High Street, it is part of the Orchard Shopping Centre, which has been "incredibly welcoming and supportive of our vision for the shop and who are also looking forward to welcoming us there".
