AN eagle-eyed person with a bird's eye view called the fire and rescue service after spotting a fire beneath while flying over Glastonbury in a hot air balloon.
Fire engines from Street and Glastonbury along with an aerial platform ladder from Bridgwater were sent to the incident at a scrapyard at 5.55pm yesterday (Thursday, September 7).
After putting out the fire involving scrap metal, crews damped down the surrounding areas.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire was accidental.
