A FAMILY-OWNED leading care provider said that two care homes at risk of closure “are in safe hands”.

Agincare announced the acquisition of care homes Sunnymeade in Chard and Critchill Court in Frome from Somerset Care Limited.

Laura Coupe, managing Director for Agincare’s residential care and nursing homes said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome residents, relatives, and teams at Critchill Court and Sunnymeade to Agincare, and look forward to getting to know them and their local communities very well in the coming weeks.

“Critchill Court and Sunnymeade are in safe hands, and our top priority is to ensure that a smooth transition takes place for everyone who lives or works at the homes.

“Agincare’s success is built on strong partnerships, and our positive track record over many years is evidence of the successful transfer and management of care homes and other community services from local authorities, charities, and other such organisations.”

The two homes join Agincare’s growing network of 29 high-quality residential care and nursing homes nationwide, including Beaufort Park Retirement Village in Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset.

Laura Coupe added: “We look forward to managing, investing, and developing Critchill Court and Sunnymeade care homes, ensuring their long-term future, safeguarding jobs, and providing local people with the peace of mind of having a home in their own community.

“Agincare possesses over 37 years of experience managing a diverse range of residential care and nursing homes nationwide; enabling us to select and deploy the most suitable operating model for each home whilst guaranteeing our proven standards of high-quality care.

“We work collaboratively with partners and build a deep understanding of our local communities in order to deliver high quality, personalised care for everyone who needs it, regardless of whether they are supported by a local authority, NHS, or are self-funded.”
