CROWDS have been gathering on Taunton’s Obridge to catch a glimpse of the magnificent starlings – seen first in the County Gazette.
The birds have been the talk of the town since being featured on the County Gazette’s front page last week and have also taken the national platform after the picture was featured in the Daily Mail.
Thousands of birds, known as a murmuration, are currently roosting in the Obridge area of Taunton and County Gazette photographer Geoff Hall (pictured) took the once-in-a-lifetime shot from the Obridge Link.
Since our photo was published, groups have been gathering at on the bridge to watch the birds, which have chosen a different location to the internationally known roost at Westhay on the Somerset Levels.
