TAUNTON and the surrounding area was put on the map at the Conservative Party conference.
Rebecca Pow, who is standing for the party in Taunton Deane at next summer’s General Election, was chosen to introduce a session on the UK at the event in Birmingham.
She filled the audience in on our town and district, particularly mentioning farming and the countryside as her husband, Charles, looked on.
Afterwards Ms Pow said: “I felt honoured to be on the main stage for a really key session and to help put Taunton Deane on the map. It was very exciting.”
