SOMERSET County Cricket Club is mourning the death of Chris Greetham, who has passed away at the age of 80.
Between 1957 and 1966 Chris was an attractive right handed batsman and more than useful right arm medium paced bowler who played in 205 first class games
During his time on the staff at the County Ground he scored 6723 runs which included five centuries and a best of 151 not out against Combined Services at Taunton in 1959.
Chris topped 1000 runs in a season on two occasions, the best being in 1963 when he made 1186.
He also took 195 first class wickets at an average of 28.35 with a career best of 7 for 56 against Glamorgan at Swansea in 1962.
Details of his funeral arrangements will be posted on the Somerset CCC official website in due course.
