Clinton, instead of just moaning in the Gazette about the state of our streets and roads, why didn't you offer solutions?
Shopkeepers brushing outside their shops every morning (as they do on the continent), residents doing the same outside their houses, local people adopting a stretch of road to keep it clear of litter and weeds, no need to join a group, just go and do it.
Council street cleaners only concentrate on picking up butts and the like from a few streets and never seem to use their brooms to actually clean the pavements and are a waste of time and money.
Councils have no money after they have paid fortunes to special needers, pension funds and extortionate salaries, so it is no good thinking they will solve the problem.
Be positive, do it yourself.
