Anthony West

WEST Anthony (Tony) Sadly passed away at home on 27th September 2020, aged 90 years. Beloved husband of Jan and much loved dad, grandad and brother. Devoted his life to education, retiring as Headteacher of Priorswood Primary School, Taunton, in 1992. Tony will be greatly missed by his family and by all who knew and loved him.

I met Tony at Priorswood, when I was doing work experience around 1988. He encouraged me to teach mini tennis there and was such a positive man. He was my idea of a Head Teacher. Now as a Head Teacher, I often think of the conversations we had. I can never remember him being negative. A great man, who has left a positive mark on so many people.

So sorry to hear of his death. He taught my children and he was wonderful; so dedicated and full of love for his charges.
We missed him so much after he retired.
