ALLEN Laurence of Wellington passed away peacefully at Chelston Gardens Dementia Nursing Home on 23rd October 2020, aged 91 years. Laurence was a rugby correspondent for the Wellington Weekly News and loyal follower of Somerset County Cricket Club. He was a lifelong supporter of the RNLI to whom he donated a D class lifeboat, the Regina Mary. He worked as a clerk for Somerset County Council Surveyors' Department for over forty years.
