HORDLE Brian John MBE TD Formerly of Taunton, passed away suddenly but peacefully at Freelands Croft Nursing home Church Crookham on Tuesday 5th January 2021 aged 88 years. Brian will be sadly missed by his loving wife Gill, sister Maureen, daughters Jane and Heather and son-in-law Trevor. His grandchildren Gemma, Hayley, Rachael, Aimee, Matthew and Lucy; great grandchildren Rosie, Louis, Henry, Tobias, Otis, Hugo, Felix, Eve, Hector, Bay and Lottie. A private funeral service will be held for family only due to current restrictions. Donations in memory of Brian if desired to Childrens Hospice South West, Little Bridge House, Redlands Road, Fremington, Barnstaple, Devon, EX31 2PZ

I am very sorry to hear about Brian. I worked for Brian at BT and we visited Iraq and Jordan in 1985. He was a great source of inspiration to me. I remember we visited the Dead Sea together. In Iraq we worked until 3am one morning and went through reams of paper until we found the error we had been looking for. We celebrated with 2 large whiskeys! Richard.
