HARWOOD Frederick John Of Wellington, formerly of Whiteball, passed away after a short illness on 24 January 2021, aged 90 years. Dear husband of Hazel who passed away on 15th January 2021, father of Geoff and the late Helen and father-in-law of Nigel. I’ve never met any of you, Fred & Hazel’s Family, but I just had to reach out to you all and offer my heartfelt condolences at your loss.
Before COVID (I am myself now shielding) I acted as their regular WELLY HOPPER transport to the Wellington Surgery and always stopped for that cup of tea and a chat after each visit. They talked about you all, their lives in Whiteball, where I now live and their closeness and concern for each other. I came to hugely respect and love them dearly. They were my ‘Special’ Couple and I am devastated by the news of their passing.
My only comfort is that they were not long apart and will now be together with Helen and all the others that they loved and missed so much. Their cares all behind them.
Keep enjoying those chocolate biscuits Fred and as for Hazel, I can see you now, heads close together, sharing your secrets with those you have so greatly missed.
Rest In Peace both, you will live in our hearts forever and although we may shed a tear, you can be sure that it will be quickly followed by a smile at the many wonderful memories we all have of you. Thank you for sharing your Sunshine with me, I am privileged to have known you even for this short time.
