SMITH Donald of Mount Street, Bishops Lydeard, died peacefully at Musgrove Park Hospital on 11th May 2021, aged 89 years. He leaves many happy and treasured memories with his wife Joan, their three children, his nine grandchildren, for whom he was the best possible Grandpa, and his sister Elizabeth. Donald also will be remembered as a former Headmaster of Bishops Lydeard school and Chairman of the Parish Council. The funeral service to take place at St. Mary's Church, Bishop's Lydeard on Thursday 27th May at 2.00pm. Due to Covid restrictions church numbers are limited to 60 but the farewell will take place in the churchyard; no restriction. No flowers please but if you wish, please make a donation to Médecins Sans Frontieres, a charity Donald supported for many years.
