SALTER Charlie Ronald Charles Salter, fondly known as Charlie, died peacefully at home in Langport, Somerset, on February 16, aged 81 years with his family around him. Twin brother to Bert, beloved father of Emma and Melanie and loving partner and soulmate of Sandra. Remembered by many as rhythm guitarist in popular local 1960s band The Mustangs. Funeral at Taunton Deane Crematorium at 12.30pm on Friday March 11. Family flowers only please but donations in Charlie's memory in aid of Cats Protection may be given by retiring collection or through Wallace Stuart Lady Funeral Directors TA6 6PZ

Just One December 14th, 2022

14/12/22 Only just heard. Sad news. Charlie was not just a musician, he was a showman. I had many great times with The Mustangs in the 60's including their gigs in Swinging London, the centre of the Universe at that time. Thanks for the many good memories.
