Hi. So sorry to hear of the passing of a brilliant inspirational vet whose outside the box thinking saved 3 of my horses from certain death from liver failure. Ray looked after my horses in the mid 1980’s when he worked for Andrew Chestnut’s in Ware, Herts.. I believe he was the first vet in the UK to treat Sheep liver fluke in horses with a cattle drench. It was a solution driven by despair after watching my animals dying before our eyes over an emotional few weeks. The man took a chance because we had tried everything else available. The process was totally Heath Robinson, involving funnels, buckets of cow drench and lot of puddles. Ray saved my horses because of his persistence and willingness to try new approaches- no wonder he ended up working for Martin Pipe. A real champion and a personal hero of mine. Never to be forgotten RIP Ray Dilliway
