MAY Marion Elizabeth Of Bishops Lydeard and formerly of Wiveliscombe, passed peacefully away on Sunday 28th January 2024, aged 95 years. She will be much missed after 64 years of blissful married life to Charles. Funeral service takes place at Taunton Crematorium on Wednesday 21st February at 12 noon. Family flowers only please but donations if desired for the Samaritans may be sent c/o Taunton Funeral Service, 55 Bridge Street, Taunton, TA1 1TP. Tel: 01823 321077

So very sad to see this announcement, condolences to Charles from mum and I. Marion was my very first teacher at Bishops Hull Primary School, 70 years ago, and worked with dad (Pete Martin). I have very happy memories of sitting outside in the sunshine at story time, Marion reading 'Periwinkle Popcorn' and other favourite books. Wonderful teacher, lovely person.
