I was very sad to hear of Chris's passing. We grew up together, and lived not far away in Compton Bishop. Chris was an usher at our wedding way back in 1972 the same year Graham won the Grand National on Well To Do. We had many good times and laughs. I always remember a few years prior to meeting my wife we went to Devon for a weeks holiday, camping, and on one of the days we went to Newton Abbot race course where Graham was racing that day. On the way Chris picked all the winners from one of the local racing papers and I think we came away with about five pounds profit.
When did Chris move to Spain? My condolences to Chris's family over your loss. Chris will always be remembered.

May I enquire if this is the Christopher G Thorner, born 1950, brother of racehorse trainer Graham? If so we were friends in the 70's and we lost touch. I will be sad to learn if this was him. I know his parents farmed in Compton Bishop and he was brought up there.
