A BURGLAR who posed as a church worker is being hunted by police.
Detectives are searching for a man following the incident in Bathpool, Taunton, at 12.40pm yesterday afternoon (October 28).
The suspect was disturbed by the victim but told him he worked for the church and asked for some money for his meter.
He persuaded the occupant to let him in and was given a small amount of money before he left, officers said.
The suspect is described as a white man, well built, 6ft tall and with close cropped dark brown hair.
He was aged between 20 and 25 and was wearing an orange high-visibility vest with ‘Baptist Church’ written on the back in a green marker pen.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or knows the person responsible should contact DC Allison Woods on 101.
