CHILDREN got the chance to mix story time with a visit from Becky – a Newfoundland dog.
Dog handler Wendy Briggs comes into the primary school to give pupils a change from their usual reading classes.
Head teacher Amanda Russell said it boosts children’s confidence and provides them with a different reading experience.
The school combined the day with an open afternoon when children showed off the work they have done since September.
