ANDREW SULLY has won the Wellington East Ward by-election.
The Conservative will take the vacant seat for Wellington Town Council, left after Alison Osmond, a Lib Dem, stepped down earlier this year.
Andrew was elected with 308 votes, Mark Lithgow (Lib Dem) had 269 and Jill Mitton (Labour) received 113.
Votes were counted at the Bond Room at the Old Vicarage in High Street last night (July 25) after polls closed at 10pm.
