Bedroom tax cash payment offer
HOUSING benefit claimants in West Somerset who have been hit by the ‘bedroom tax’ will be given help with a one-off cash payment.
£104,850 of additional Government funding was given to West Somerset Council for those struggling.
Payments will be subject to a simple assessment and will be backdated to April this year.
People have been warned not to expect a similar payment next year.
