ROWERS in Taunton will now be able to splash the cash as well as their oars thanks to a £14,500 grant.
Taunton Rowing Club aim to engage the youth of Taunton in sport but since the London Olympics 2012 their resources have been put under pressure due a surge in numbers as people look to get on the water and give rowing a go.
The money donated by Jane Barrie, on behalf of Bishop Fox’s Education Foundation, will help the club to buy equipment and purchase a lighter trailer to get the members to races.
The Bishop Fox’s Education Foundation aims to helps improve the lives of young people in Taunton.
