MORE than 200 students from over 50 schools across the South-West have booked places at next week's American Universities Fair at Taunton School.
There will be 60 exhibitors from across North America at the event on Tuesday, May 6.
Taunton School’s head of careers, David Hawkins, said: “Today’s students are increasingly aware that studying at university abroad has become a real option for aspiring undergraduates.
“Taunton School has seen this develop considerably in recent years with our most recent leavers now at universities in America, Australia, Hong Kong, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
“There are a huge number of options to consider – ranging from the top-ranking Harvard, MIT or the University of British Columbia – down to organisations to support those who might wish to pursue sports scholarships or who wish to study at an American-style university based in Europe.”
The fair is the third Taunton School has hosted.
Mr Hawkins added: “New this year is a range of talks covering how to apply, how to choose a university and the prestigious Sutton Trust USA programme for those who qualify for full financial aid.”
The fair runs from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
