A TYRE fitter from Wellington has been picked to join a new training programme by Michelin.
Jake Brindley, 22, is just one of ten people chosen to go on the course designed to ensure that motorists get the best advice when buying tyres.
Last week, Jake, who works for Bridge Tyres and Wheels in Milverton Road, spent two days in specialist workshops at Michelin’s training centre in Stoke-on-Trent.
He said: “I’m really pleased to have been chosen for the Michelin Academy.
“Michelin is known to be the best, so if you’re going to do something you might as well do it properly.
“I think it will help me understand what goes into making a tyre and better explain to customers the different types available.”
