A PHOTOGRAPHER is creating a book documenting the terrible floods which swamped Somerset this winter.
Matilda Temperley, sister of famous fashion designer Alice Temperley, spent two months taking photos of submerged villages across the Somerset Levels and will publish them in black and white.
Matilda, from Burrow Hill, Kingsbury Episcopi, said: “I've taken this decision to keep the flooding as a live issue so the politicians can't bury it.
“I need to pre-sell 300 copies in order to have enough money to cover some of the initial printing costs so I am crowd funding through a pledge system.
“For £30 people can pre-order a cloth bound book with captions by the community and it will be sent to them in July.”
