STAFF from estate agent Webbers have headed to London today (Friday, May 9) ahead of the annual Estate and Letting Agent Awards.
The agent has had nine offices, including ones in Minehead, Dulverton, Taunton, Wiveliscombe and Wellington, shortlisted in the national awards.
Webbers, which has offices in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, has had nine of its branches shortlisted for separate prizes in the ESTAS, which take place at the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane in London this evening, hosted by TV estate agent Phil Spencer.
Senior staff at Webbers will be most pleased that the agent has also been shortlisted in the best UK medium agent category, and will be anxiously waiting to hear whether they have won.
With the awards based on customer feedback Webbers is rightfully proud to have been shortlisted in so many categories.
Managing director Malcolm Prescott said: “The ESTAS really are the Oscars of our profession and our staff year in year out take this awards ceremony very seriously, because it is driven by what our customers say – we are a people’s business, we just happen to sell property and if our clients are happy then we know that they will recommend our service.”
He added: “As a company we enter each year as we realise that it really does help to maintain our very high standards and give us a valuable in-sight in to just how our customers see us and the profession.” The news follows on from similar success last year, when Webbers scooped two gold awards and a bronze in the awards, which look at all UK estate and letting agents and award regional and national prizes.
