HOMEOWNERS are being warned not to leave easy pickings for thieves during the heatwave.
Police have reported a number of ‘creeper’ burglaries in the Priorswood and North Taunton areas during the recent hot spell.
Insp Bob Muckett said: “A person or people have been entering insecure dwellings.
“We woulod urge people to take basic crime prevention measures such as locking doors and windows and keeping valuables out of sight within the house.”
Officers have leafleted homes in the area with the message, ‘Your Home is Your Castle – Don’t let burglars invade and ruin your summer’.
