FOUR charity collection boxes have been stolen from shops in Langport in the past month.
The first, in aid of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, was taken from Fosters Newsagents, in Bow Street, at about 7am on Monday, June 23.
A further three went missing from Evans family butchers between Tuesday, July 17, and today (Wednesday, July 23).
PC Simon Ledbury said: "The theft of collection boxes is cruel and deprives charities of much needed income.
"Although the boxes individually may only include a small amount of cash, the charities rely on this money to continue the work they do and which benefits our community."
Anyone with any information should contact PC Ledbury on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
