A NOT-for-profit firm set up to keep the town buzzing after the demise of Taunton Town Centre Company has won a £12,000 grant from Taunton Deane Council.
The money will allow TIME4, which organises street and specialist markets, which partly help fund a programme of cultural events, to buy awnings for use in markets in the town centre.
A council spokesman said: “The awnings will improve the appearance and attractiveness of the markets, encouraging more visitors to Taunton and more spend among town centre businesses.”
