THE horse was sedated and freed from the horse box.
FIRE crews were called to Norton Fitzwarren this afternoon to rescue a trapped horse.
One specialist rescue team from Bridgwater was dispatched at around 2.50pm to free the horse which was trapped in a horse box at Minehead Road, Norton Fitzwarren.
A vet was also on scene to sedate the horse and crews used lines and strops to safely release the animal.
The horse was left in the hands of the owner.
