A BOOK of stunning and powerful images of the floods has just been published featuring the work of Somerset-born Matilda Temperley.
Under The Surface depicts the people and landscapes of the moors and levels at the height of the winter devastation.
Matilda, who lived in Thorney, is now an acclaimed professional photographer and when her 99- year-old grandfather's house and her father’s barns and farmland were covered by 3ft of water she began documenting the floods and the effects on the community.
The book was launched in Aller last month and includes a foreword by Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis.
