THE A38 at White Ball Hill, Sampford Arundel, was blocked after two trees fell onto the road at lunchtime yesterday (Thursday, November 13).
Tree surgeons called out by Somerset highways soon got to work and removed them, including that weighed seven tonnes.
They also identified a further seven trees that were unstable and posed a potential risk and took them down as a safety precaution.
The road was re-opened by mid afternoon.
