THE parish council is holding a public meeting next Thursday, November 27, to give villagers the chance to find out more about the draft Stogumber Neighbourhood Plan.
The aims of the plan are: to preserve the character of the village and surrounding area, determine the number and type of new homes that should be built, protect local green spaces such as the top of Beacon Field, and facilitate appropriate economic activity to support employment and vital services such as the shop, pub and school.
The draft plan is available from the parish council chairman Julian Spicer – email julianspicer@hotmail.com or phone 01984-656156 - and the parish clerk Jan Leeming, janleeming@hotmail.co.uk.
Next Thursday’s meeting takes place at 7.30pm in the village hall.
