A TAUNTON man saddled up to raise £1,000 for charity on a gruelling 987-mile bike ride which took 13 days.
Andrew Coles, who works for CarpetRIGHT in Taunton, cycled from Land’s End to John O’Groats and shared the money he raised between two charities – Taunton Food Bank and the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.
He said: “I’m really pleased to have raised so much money for charity and I really enjoyed the ride – the weather was fantastic and the scenery was superb.
"It all went very well and was no problem at all, especially Scotland because it was beautiful. Thankyou to everyone who has sponsored me.”
