A PART of Wellington will be transformed into a ‘Narnia-type’ woodland during the town’s Celebration of Light event on Saturday.
The alleyway alongside the Quaker Friends Meeting House in High Street, leading to the Peace Garden, will be turned into a magical display of candles, fairy lights, foliage and inspirational words.
The event, in its seventh year, gives people a chance for reflection and contemplation and aims to contrast with the noise and consumerism of the Christmas period.
The Celebration of Light will be available from 4pm to 7pm this Saturday and on the next three Wednesdays – November 26 and December 3 and 10.
On December 3, at 4.15pm, there will also be a story-telling session with music, suitable for all ages.
