POLICE have been called to supermarkets across the UK to deal with disruption caused by the surge of shoppers looking for bargains on Black Friday.
At least two people were arrested at a Tesco store in Greater Manchester.
Black Friday has its origins in the US, and sees retailers slash their prices to draw in shoppers on the day after Thanksgiving.
However, the concept has now been imported to the UK.
There have been reports of shoppers queuing outside shopping malls across the country waiting for the doors to open.
